HEALTHY THINKING THURSDAY

I'm joining Kim and Laura at Flowers & Art - and Love At Home for Healthy Thinking Thursday.

Thought I would share a video I did last year about the journey of weight loss.

Enjoy!

Hey Angela!
That video was too funny! I am at 190 down from 212 on a 5'4" body and I was sick, sick, sick. I have been a type 2 diabetic for the last 2 years and they had decided to put me on insulin because the pills just weren't cutting it. Well I am terrified of needles so I went on a practically carb free diet overnight, no pasta, bread, rice, potatoes and no added sugar no cookies, cake or pie and ta-da I am losing weight.
Oh did I mention all the prayers and begging God and WHINING to Him?
One thing I must testify to: God is great! I was a carb ADDICT and I really thought there was no way I would ever be able to give up the starchy foods I so loved, then over night after praying to the Lord about it I woke up with no desire for those empty carbs and a control over myself I didn't believe I had.
It's been 6 weeks now and Jesus is still holding my fork for me.
Love ya!

Angela, You are such a great encouragement to those of us that struggle with food. You are so right about not loving one's self when you become thin. Over the years of loosing weight, I never really believed I was worthy of being thin.

So I too shall embrace my body today.
Congratulations on your weight loss. That is awesome.
